The Seattle Rainmakers are proud to announce that Max Vitali will be taking on the role of General Manager for the team. Max is a long time player with an unparalleled dedication to the game and an internationally recognized expertise in organizing and management. He has been playing Ultimate for 11 years and has seen plenty of success as a player. More importantly, he has vast experience as a leader.
After earning a university degree in Economics and Statistics, Max led his family business as CEO and International Sales Manager for 10 years until his passion for Ultimate prompted him to found Ultimatevents, an Italian based event management company specializing in Ultimate. Through that company and his other Ultimate undertakings, Max has been at the helm of some of the biggest international Ultimate events, including the 2010 World Under-23 Championship and the 2011 World Championships of Beach Ultimate. In addition to his work with the Rainmakers, Max will be acting as Chief Organizing Officer for the World Ultimate Club Championships in 2014.
“I believe that being the GM of an MLU franchise and specifically of the Seattle Rainmakers is a once-in-life chance to build what the future of our sport can be,” says Vitali. “Being GM in such a high class Ultimate environment is both a great honor and a great challenge. In such an Ultimate-based reality like Seattle I see an unparalleled number of opportunities. I am looking forward to building the strongest team in the league.”
The Rainmakers are confident that the addition of Max Vitali assures a strong base from which to build a great team and a successful first season. His dedication also promises strong leadership into the future as the Rainmakers and the MLU continue to grow.
