Major League Ultimate announced the 2016 Season Schedule this past week, giving the Rainmakers their first look at their title defense.

With the league’s announcement on Wednesday, the 2015 Western Conference Champion Seattle Rainmakers now know the path they will need to take to repeat their appearance in this year’s MLU Championship in July 2016.

After taking a 5-5 season record into the Western Conference final last season, the underdog Rainmakers defeated the 9-1 Portland Stags to punch their ticket to the bluehost league final.  The Rainmakers will need to call on that experience early in the 2016 season, as their first two contests of the year will see them matched against the Stags.

Starting off on the road in Portland, the Rainmakers will return home to Seattle after Week 1 for a three game home stand, hosting the Stags in Week 2, followed by consecutive home games against the Vancouver Nighthawks.

The middle of the season will see the Rainmakers play a home and road game each against the Nighthawks and the San Francisco Dogfish.  The Rainmakers will face the Dogfish three times over the last five weeks of the season, hosting them again before ending their regular season on the road at Portland.
