On Sunday afternoon, Clay Dewey-Valentine read the Portland offense and made an incredible play for a Callahan and the MLU Defensive Play of the Week.

Backed up in the end zone, Portland threw a lazy blade for Dewey-Valentine to tip and then grab for a goal.

“The Callahan was sweet,” said Dewey-Valentine. “First of my life. Worth twice as much in the MLU because we get the disc right back.”

The Seattle D-line went wild as his teammates bombarded him in the end zone for one of the best celebrations of the year.

Dewey-Valentine and the Rainmakers will attempt to get back in the win column this Saturday in Vancouver against the Nighthawks. The game begins at 6:00 p.m. PT and will be available on Rainmakers TV on Wednesday. You can also follow the game live on the Nighthawks Twitter handle.
