The Seattle Rainmakers are excited to announce the hiring of Rusty Brown as the organization’s Operations Manager. Rusty will be in charge of all game day operations, overseeing the entire production including entertainment teams, giveaways, game day themes, national anthem talent, halftime shows and everything else that will make a Rainmakers game an exciting experience.

Rusty began playing Ultimate as a sophomore in high school in Seattle, WA. In his 15 years in Ultimate, he has played for Garfield High School, MoHo, the University of Washington Sundodgers, Tsunami (Seattle Coed), Thunder (Seattle Club Coed), and Downpour (Seattle Men’s Club). His playing experience includes appearances at the College Championships and Northwest Open and Mixed Club Regionals. He has served as a captain of almost all of these programs and has been coaching for 8 years with various youth, college, and club programs in the Seattle area.

From an organizational standpoint, Rusty has been working in the trenches of Ultimate most of his career. He is also currently employed as an Operations Manager with the Ultimate governing body of the Puget Sound area, DiscNW. He manages a local high school Ultimate program with over 60 kids playing in 3 separate seasons on 5 different teams. His love for the game and organized nature make working for the Rainmakers a natural next step for him, and he is excited to have another way to continue contributing to Seattle’s thriving Ultimate scene.
