The Seattle Rainmakers are proud to introduce D-line jack-of-all-trades, Tyler Kinley.
“I’ve played Ultimate for 13 years, and have loved every minute of it. I’m excited to bring that excitement for the game to this talent-heavy Rainmakers team,” says Kinley.
Kinley has built a reputation as a defensive powerhouse through thirteen years of experience with teams such as Tulane University, University of Michigan, Nemo and BAT. He currently plays for the Seattle club team Sockeye. His achievements include a Worlds Silver Medal, Beach Worlds Gold Medal and Club National Semifinals.
With a love for grocery shopping and distaste for wet bathroom floors, Kinley is tenacious with an innate field sense. He possesses the rare ability to play lock down defense from start to finish. With an affinity for scoring goals and obtaining hand blocks, his skill set will be a valuable addition to the Rainmakers.
“Tyler is going to be the heart and soul of our D-line,” says Rainmakers General Manager Max Vitali. “The way he plays the game from a defensive standpoint demands that his teammates match his level of intensity, and that’s something you absolutely need if you’re going to be an elite team in the MLU.”
Kinley is excited for the season to begin, stating, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent the Rainmakers this season and I can’t wait to play in this fun, new atmosphere.”
